Meet Paul E. Gaura

My extensive experience across a variety of community pharmacy roles over the past 22 years has significantly shaped my perspective on the importance of expanding access to care and advancing the profession. From witnessing pharmacists first begin providing immunizations to now furnishing medications, it is clear that we play a vital role as members of the broader healthcare team and are well positioned to continue building on this momentum in the years ahead. My involvement with the Section of Community Pharmacy Practitioners (SCPP) has not only reinforced these beliefs but has also inspired and supported me in continuing to push the boundaries of our profession. Through this engagement, I have developed a deep appreciation for collaboration with like-minded colleagues who share a common mission to ensure pharmacists are equipped with the tools needed to address barriers and overcome potential challenges. ASHP provides the platform to facilitate this progress and is driven by the passion and dedication of its members. If selected as chair of SCPP, my goal is to leverage this invaluable network of motivated pharmacists to learn, grow, and innovate together for the betterment of the patients we serve.
