Meet Tina M. Claypool
Every patient deserves to receive necessary care from an ambulatory care pharmacist as part of their healthcare team. While we can all agree with ASHP’s Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners’ vision statement, our healthcare system fails to deliver on this fundamental patient need. ASHP has long supported our profession and patients by providing guidance, connection, and a shared voice for practice advancement. With a career devoted to advocacy for patients and our profession, I am excited to help ASHP amplify the voice of ambulatory care pharmacists, develop leaders, and drive practice change at the national level. Working with the Section of Ambulatory Care Pharmacy has shaped both my career and my sense of professional responsibility. I consider myself fortunate to have collaborated with enthusiastic and brilliant ambulatory care pharmacists and leaders across ASHP. Our mutual passion for advancing clinical practice, patient care, education, and pharmacy advocacy have resulted in meaningful discussions, actions, and tangible deliverables to ASHP membership. I would be honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve ASHP and the Section of Ambulatory Care. I will embrace this opportunity to give back, listen carefully, contribute thoughtfully, and support ASHP’s mission while working alongside section leaders and members to advance ambulatory care pharmacy for the patients and communities served.
