ACPE Accreditation
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education with Commendation.
Pharmacists
ASHP determines the number of contact hours for each session. Registrants may earn up to 6.00 contact hours (6 CEUs) of continuing education credit at the 2025 Residency Program Design and Conduct (RPDC) Virtual Workshops.
Target Audience
This activity is planned and structured to meet the application-based educational needs of pharmacists involved in designing, conducting, and improving ASHP-accredited residency programs. It is tailored for those practicing in diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, managed care facilities, community and ambulatory care, academia, and other environments where residency training is conducted.
Activity Overview
This activity will review strategies to apply accreditation standards for the design and conduct of a pharmacy residency program, including requirements related to program purpose, competency areas, goals, and objectives, program structure, learning experiences, orientation, use of preceptor roles, evaluation, resident development plans, and continuous residency program improvement.

In accordance with our accreditor’s Standards of Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education, ASHP requires that all individuals in control of content disclose all financial relationships with ineligible companies. An individual has a relevant financial relationship if he/she has had a financial relationship with an ineligible company in any dollar amount in the past 24 months and the educational content that the individual controls is related to the business lines or products of the ineligible company. An ineligible company is any entity producing, marketing, re-selling, or distributing healthcare goods or services consumed by, or used on, patients. The presence or absence of relevant financial relationships will be disclosed to the activity audience.
- No one in control of the content of this activity has a relevant financial relationship (RFR) with an ineligible company.
As required by the Standards of Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education definition of ineligible company.
Methods and CE Requirements
This activity consists of faculty slide presentations, active learning activities, discussions, and session materials. Participants must participate in the entire activity to get the Attendance Code to claim continuing pharmacy education credit online at the ASHP eLearning Portal. Follow the prompts to complete the evaluation, claim credit, and view the statement of credit immediately after the activity within 60 days of the activity, but no later than May 1, 2025.
Important Note – ACPE 60-Day Deadline:
Per ACPE requirements, CPE credit must be claimed within 60 days of being earned. To verify that you have completed the required steps and to ensure your credits have been reported to CPE Monitor, check your NABP eProfile account to validate that your credits were transferred successfully before the ACPE 60-day deadline. After the 60-day deadline, ASHP will no longer be able to award credit for this activity.
