David Agüero, PharmD, MSTL, FAMIA, FASHP
David A. Agüero is the director of medication systems and informatics as well as the program director, PGY2 pharmacy informatics, at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. He is a pharmacy leader specializing in the coordination, communication, and support of pharmacy services and the medication use process with experience spanning multiple electronic health record and medication distribution platforms in multi-hospital systems as well as academic medical centers. In his role at St. Jude, He is responsible for leadership of medication-use systems and supporting technologies including informatics, pharmaceutical data analytics, and supply chain service lines. Agüero graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University before pursuing a specialized residency in medication-use systems and technology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He later earned a master’s degree in science and technology leadership from Brown University. He is also a diplomate of the ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy. He has been deeply involved with the section since first volunteering as a pharmacy student, serving as member and chair on multiple advisory groups and volunteering on the Education Steering Committee for multiple years.

Jeffrey Chalmers, PharmD
Jeffrey Chalmers is the Chief Product Officer at Marble AI, a software development organization dedicated to providing solutions to increase efficiency in pharmacy operations. Prior to joining Marble AI, Jeff served as the Senior Director of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology for the Cleveland Clinic Health System. He led teams that support pharmacy automation and technology, as well as the medication management tools within the enterprise electronic medical record in both the inpatient and ambulatory environments. His teams supported 15 hospitals in Ohio and Florida in addition to the services at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and London. Dr. Chalmers earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Toledo, and his PharmD from the University of Florida. Jeff prides himself as an informatics pharmacist with expertise in clinical decision support, data analytics, inventory management and the use of artificial intelligence to improve caregiver efficiency. Jeff created the Cleveland Clinic Pharmacy Informatics PGY-2 residency program in 2013, illustrating his passion for pharmacy informatics and his desire to give back to the profession. He served as the residency program director until 2018. Within ASHP Jeff served as a section advisory group member as well as the Vice Chair of Clinical Information Systems section advisory group in 2015-16 and the Chair for the 2016-17 year. He has served on the Executive Committee for the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology as the Director-at-large-elect and Director-at-large from 2020-2023 and currently serves as the section Chair. He is a frequent presenter at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting as well as other meetings and conferences.

Bryan G. Shaw, PharmD, DPLA
Bryan G. Shaw serves as the senior director of analytics, insights, and education at Vizient, Inc., where he oversees pharmacy data strategy, education, and advanced training programs. He is the director of the fellowship and PGY2 residency programs in pharmacy informatics and supply chain leadership. A graduate of Creighton University, he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2012 and completed both a PGY1 non-traditional pharmacy residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a PGY2 pharmacy informatics residency through Vizient and the Saint Louis College of Pharmacy. He also holds a Diplomate distinction from the ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy.
Dr. Shaw’s professional trajectory spans frontline decentralized clinical practice to leading informatics teams and national pharmacy analytics strategy. Currently, his team works with health systems across the country to establish best practices, support strategy development, and drive implementation of advanced analytics, informatics, and technology. In addition to oversight of fellowship and PGY2 residency programs, he collaborates with over 20 colleges of pharmacy for APPE experiences.
An active ASHP member for over a decade, he has held multiple leadership roles within the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology (SOPIT), including chair and vice chair of the Section Advisory Group on Education & Professional Development. He also previously served as chair of the SAG on Advancing Pharmacy Practice with Technicians and as a member of SAGs on Experiential Precepting and Technician Advancement. His commitment to informatics education, technician advancement, and practical implementation of data tools continues to shape national practice standards.

Casey Olsen, PharmD
Casey A. Olsen is an Enterprise Manager of Pharmacy Informatics at Advocate Health, a 67-hospital system with inpatient, ambulatory, and retail pharmacy practice areas. Olsen received his PharmD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed an informatics PGY1/PGY2 residency. As a pharmacy informatics manager, Olsen facilitates continuous improvement of technology and policies/practices, with a recent focus on standardizing medication database management and optimizing prescribing. Acting as project manager for interdisciplinary teams of health professionals, pharmacists, analysts, and residents, Olsen prioritizes and tracks system projects emphasizing safety and transparency while managing team workload and project direction. He coordinates resolutions for system safety and regulatory escalations and aligns expectations across IT teams for ownership of tasks and responsibilities for interdisciplinary projects. Olsen's involvement with ASHP includes serving as Chair and Vice Chair of the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology's Section Advisory Group on Clinical Decision Support and Analytics. Through partnership with ASHP members, he co-authored the ASHP Statement on Artificial Intelligence, collaborated on the creation of an Autoverification Toolkit, and produced various educational resources on novel technologies. Additionally, Olsen has presented on tools for successful electronic health record implementation and use, provided university lectures on health care communication and informatics, and served as a preceptor for residents and student learners.

Emmanuel N. Enwere, PharmD, MS, CPHIMS
Emmanuel N. Enwere is the system director of pharmacy and oncology informatics for the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center. Enwere leads teams that support pharmacy, oncology and research application systems with data analytics for pharmacy. His teams support informatics services for five cancer center locations nationwide within Los Angeles, Orange County, Atlanta, Chicago, and Phoenix. Prior to his current role, Enwere served as the senior pharmacy informatics manager at UTMB Health where he led several transformational initiatives since 2019. Enwere graduated from The University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 2012 with his PharmD degree. He completed a combined pharmacy residency and Masters of Science degree in health-system pharmacy administration and leadership emphasizing pharmacy informatics at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in 2014. Enwere is very passionate about designing systems that help guide healthcare providers to make better clinical decisions that achieve improved patient outcomes. He is currently serving on the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology (SOPIT) Advisory Group (SAG) on Educational and Professional Development as the Blog Workgroup lead. He also served as the 2022-2023 chair of the SOPIT SAG on Clinical Decision Support and Analytics (CDSA) and as the CDSA vice chair from 2021-2022. Enwere has been an active SOPIT member since 2015 and is very excited about the continued growth in pharmacy informatics. He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems and holds several Epic Systems certifications that support pharmacy, oncology and CDS. He has given pharmacy informatics presentations both locally and nationally with peer-reviewed publications.

Kendall Gross, PharmD, BCPS, DPLA
Kendall Gross is the Manager of the Pharmacy Informatics and Automation Teams at UCSF Health in San Francisco, CA. She leads an enterprise team of 14 pharmacists and technicians in informatics, automation, and project management.
She received her PharmD from the University of Georgia in 2008 and completed residencies in Pharmacy and Critical Care at the University of Kentucky before joining UCSF in 2010. As a clinician, she focused on leveraging technology to drive high-value care and subsequently established UCSF’s first Informatics Specialist role to build on those successes.
In her current role, she provides strategic informatics leadership, directs system maintenance for pharmacy-owned technologies, and manages shared processes and tools with IT teams. She’s responsible for a broad project portfolio, having completed more than 20 major enterprise implementations over the last five years. She supports organizational governance and system strategy and alignment as the Chair of the Pharmacy Informatics Steering Committee, Co-Chair establishing the IT Medication Management Capability, and statewide as the past Chair of the University of California Automation & Informatics Collaborative. She is also a Volunteer Associate Professor in the UCSF School of Pharmacy.
She has held progressive roles in ASHP and SOPIT and is the current Chair of the Section Advisory Group (SAG) on Clinical Decision Support. She has additionally led the Get IT Done workgroup and individual SAG project teams, contributing to ASHP Bytes podcast, blog post, and webinar projects and giving presentations at ASHP Midyear and CSHP Seminar.

Scott V. Anderson, PharmD, MS, CPHIMS, FASHP
Scott V. Anderson serves as Director, Member Relations at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). In this role, he serves as the liaison for the Section of Pharmacy Informatics and Technology (SOPIT) and leads the development and implementation of programs and initiatives for the Section. Prior to his staff role, he served as a Pharmacy Supervisor at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Scott earned his PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago and MS in Health-System Pharmacy Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. After completing a PGY1 as a pharmacy practice management resident at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, he helped to design and complete a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics residency at the University of Virginia Health System. Before joining the staff, Scott was an active volunteer at ASHP and the Section, which includes member, workgroup lead, and Vice Chair for the SOPIT Advisory Group on Operations and Automation; member of the SOPIT Educational Steering Committee; program chair for the Informatics Pearls; poster mentor and reviewer; networking session facilitator and Pearls presenter at the Midyear Clinical Meeting; and multiple terms as an ASHP Delegate and Alternate Delegate. He has presented research posters at several ASHP meetings and was recognized as a Fellow of ASHP in 2022.
