Join Han Le, an ASHP resident extern alum, as she interviews one of her Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) program mentors on executive presence. The conversation reflects on what executive presence is, identifies examples of how to evaluate and practice related soft skills, and provides advice for new practitioners or new leaders to consider when developing executive presence.

SPEAKERS

Han LeHan Le received both her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida. She is currently on the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) National Association Management rotation and enjoys collaborating with ASHP leadership to engage members and support their professional growth. Her practice interests include operations, medication safety, education, and leadership development. Upon completion of her health-system pharmacy administration and leadership (HSPAL) residency at AdventHealth Orlando, Han looks forward to applying the skills she has gained to become a health-system pharmacy leader. 

Benita DavidBenita David, MBA, DBA has been teaching classes in business, finance, marketing and leadership for AdventHealth University since 2009. She was asked to develop the Master of Healthcare Administration program in 2011. Dr. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Zoology from Andrews University, a Master of Business Administration from Valdosta State University and a Doctorate of Business Administration from Argosy University where her research focused on the role of leadership and communication implemented on virtual teams in healthcare. She is an active member in both the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA); she also serves on the review panel for the Journal of Healthcare Management. Additionally, she spends time mentoring entrepreneurs while developing their leadership and management skills as they start their new businesses.
