In this podcast, Lindsey Kelley and Daniel Cobaugh will discuss Lindsey’s journey as a pharmacy leader who also happens to be a lesbian woman. They will hit upon Lindsey’s career experiences, insights from her letter in Letters from Women in Pharmacy, and her guidance for other LGBTQ pharmacy technicians, student pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and pharmacists.

SPEAKERS

Lindsey KelleyLindsey R. Kelley, PharmD, MS, FASHP is Director of Ambulatory, Oncology, and Research Pharmacy Services at Michigan Medicine. She serves as Program Director for the PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency and adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy. Dr. Kelley earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Arizona in Tucson. She completed a pharmacy practice residency at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN and received her MS from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy while completing a two-year health-system pharmacy administration and leadership residency at University of Minnesota Health. Dr. Kelley has been an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and state affiliates. She was recently elected to serve as Director-at-Large for the Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders (SPPL). She has also served on both the ASHP Section of Pharmacy Practice Managers Advisory Group on Manager Development and Leadership Development. She served as chair of the ASHP New Practitioner Forum Executive Committee and as a member of the ASHP Council on Pharmacy Practice. Dr. Kelley was honored with the ASHP New Practitioners Forum Distinguished Service Award in 2010 and recognized as a fellow in 2019.

Dan Cobaugh

Daniel J. Cobaugh, Pharm.D. FAACT, DABAT is the vice president of publishing at ASHP and the editor-in-chief of AJHP.  His responsibilities include executive leadership for the AHFS Drug Information product suite, the ASHP Special Publishing program, and AJHP.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh in 1987 and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree, magna cum laude, from Duquesne University in 1989.  He completed an ASHP-accredited residency in hospital pharmacy at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and a clinical toxicology fellowship at the Pittsburgh Poison Center/Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.  He practiced as pharmacist-clinical toxicologist and held faculty appointments at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the University of Rochester Medical Center.  He was recognized in June 2012 by the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy as a distinguished alumnus and was a 2013 recipient of the University of Pittsburgh 225th Anniversary Medallion.
