Megan Klingler

Megan Klingler is the pharmacy operations manager at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After receiving her PharmD from West Virginia University, Megan completed a postgraduate year 1/2 health system pharmacy administration and leadership residency at UVA Health. Megan serves as a member of the NPF Personal Development Advisory Group.

Why did you become involved in ASHP?

I became involved with ASHP during pharmacy school, even before I decided on a hospital career. Over time, I discovered that its diverse resources have supported me throughout my education, residency, and now as a pharmacy manager.

What would you tell others if asked how to get involved with ASHP?

It's really simple! ASHP offers something for everyone, and you can get involved with groups and educational resources that align with your passions.

What are some of your interests or hobbies outside of pharmacy?

Glamping (Camping in a camper), Pure Barre, and travel

What advice would you give to other new practitioners?

Actively build your network! Attend conferences, engage in online platforms, and connect with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals. It can unlock surprising career opportunities.
