How to Apply
Applications for appointments to ASHP committees are currently being accepted for the 2026–2027 term. The deadline is November 14, 2025.
ASHP President-elect Kim W. Benner, with the approval of the Board of Directors, appoints members to ASHP committees. ASHP members are encouraged to apply or recommend other members for appointments. Members may recommend more than one applicant for any particular committee.
Current committee members who wish to continue serving must also submit application materials.
In making appointments, the president-elect takes into consideration geographic distribution, personal qualifications, and previous experience in ASHP and affiliated state societies. ASHP is especially interested in applicants who help ensure our committees reflect the various perspectives of our members and the patients and communities they serve. ASHP is also interested in identifying new practitioners, residents, pharmacy technicians, and students to serve ASHP through engagement on a committee.
To apply or recommend, please complete the online appointment submission form. The form allows members to provide comments on their or other candidates' (1) qualifications, (2) experience, (3) areas of special expertise, (4) previous involvement with ASHP or state affiliates, and (5) any special characteristics that will help ASHP achieve a balance of perspectives.
Note that the candidate’s curriculum vitae must be uploaded to the form when it is submitted. The number of applicants usually far exceeds the number of appointments, but ASHP is extremely pleased to offer many ways to get involved and encourages all who are interested to apply.
If you have any questions, please contact the ASHP Executive Office.
